About Karl Springer

Karl Springer (1931-1991) was a renowned American furniture and decorative arts designer. He is best known for his innovative and luxurious designs that combined elements of classicism with modernism.

Born in Berlin, Germany in 1931, Springer's interest in design and craftsmanship was evident from an early age. He studied at the Berlin Academy of Fine Arts, where he honed his skills in furniture design and interior decoration. However, his promising career in Europe was interrupted by World War II, and he was forced to flee to the United States in 1939.
