Paco Rabanne, born Francisco Rabaneda Cuervo on February 18, 1934, is a Spanish fashion designer known for his innovative and avant-garde approach to clothing design. He is renowned for his use of unconventional materials such as metal, plastic, and even paper in his creations.

Rabanne was born in San Sebastian, Spain, and grew up in a family with a background in fashion. His mother worked as a chief seamstress at the Balenciaga fashion house, which influenced his early interest in fashion and design. Rabanne studied architecture at the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris but soon realized his true passion lay in fashion.
