Born on November 8, 1926, in Denmark, Vodder studied architecture at the Danish Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen. However, his true passion lay in furniture design, and he soon began working as a furniture designer and cabinetmaker. In the 1950s and 1960s, Vodder gained recognition for his collaborations with renowned Danish furniture manufacturer Fritz Hansen.
