About Willy Daro

Willy Daro (1925-1993) was a Belgian furniture and decorative arts designer known for his unique and innovative creations. He was born in Brussels, Belgium, and developed a passion for design from a young age.

Daro studied at the prestigious La Cambre School of Arts in Brussels, where he honed his skills in various artistic disciplines, including sculpture and metalwork. His education provided him with a solid foundation in craftsmanship and a deep understanding of materials.

In the 1950s, Daro established his own design studio in Brussels, where he began experimenting with different materials and techniques. He was particularly drawn to the use of bronze, which became a signature element in many of his designs. Daro's furniture pieces often featured intricate
