About Kosta Boda

Kosta Boda is a renowned Swedish glassware and art glass company. Established in 1742, it is one of the oldest glassworks in Sweden and has made significant contributions to the field of decorative arts.

The company was founded in the small village of Kosta by Anders Koskull and Georg Bogislaus Stael von Holstein. Initially, Kosta Boda primarily produced window glass and household glassware. However, in the early 19th century, the company shifted its focus to more artistic and decorative glass pieces.

One of the key figures in the development of Kosta Boda's artistic direction was Vicke Lindstrand. Lindstrand joined the company in 1936 and quickly became one of its most influential designers. His innovative designs and experimental techniques greatly contributed
