Bernard Dunand (1872-1942) was a prominent Swiss-born French artist and designer, known for his exceptional contributions to the field of decorative arts and furniture design. Born on April 2, 1872, in Geneva, Switzerland, Dunand displayed a remarkable talent for artistic pursuits from an early age.

Dunand began his artistic training at the École des Arts Industriels in Geneva, where he studied metalworking and enameling. After completing his education, he moved to Paris in 1893 to further his career and immerse himself in the vibrant artistic community of the city.
