Peter Hvidt (1916-1986) was a Danish furniture and decorative arts designer who made significant contributions to the field of modern Scandinavian design. He is best known for his innovative and functional furniture designs, which combined clean lines, organic forms, and the use of new materials. Born on September 17, 1916, in Copenhagen, Denmark, Hvidt studied at the School of Arts and Crafts in Copenhagen, where he developed a deep understanding of traditional craftsmanship and design principles. After completing his education, he began his career as a furniture designer in the 1940s.
